Arcway ("we", "our", or "the app") is a remote terminal application that allows users to securely connect to their own Mac devices. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. By using Arcway, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what is strictly necessary to provide the service:

Authentication tokens — When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive an identity token issued by that provider. We use this solely to verify your identity and create your account session. We do not receive or store your Google/Apple password.
Device identifiers — A unique identifier for each Mac you register, used to route terminal connections to the correct machine.
Session metadata — Session IDs and working directory paths, used to restore and manage your terminal sessions.

We do not collect your name, phone number, contacts, location, photos, camera, microphone, or any other personal data beyond what is listed above.

2. Terminal Data

Terminal input and output (commands you type and their results) is transmitted in real time over an encrypted WebSocket connection between your phone and your Mac via our relay server. We do not log, store, or inspect terminal content. Data passes through our relay in memory only and is never written to disk.

3. How We Use Your Information

To authenticate you and maintain your account session.
To route WebSocket connections between your phone and your registered Mac devices.
To enforce session limits and security policies (e.g. rate limiting).

We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or sale to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

Authentication tokens on your device are stored in the platform's secure keychain (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain).
Our relay server stores only account identifiers and device registration records, protected in an encrypted database.
All communication between the app and our server uses TLS encryption.

5. Third-Party Sign-In Providers

Arcway supports sign-in via Google and Apple. When you use these options, you are subject to their respective privacy policies:

We only receive the identity token from these providers and do not access your broader Google or Apple account data.

6. Data Retention

Account and device registration data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below. Upon deletion, all your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Arcway is a developer tool intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
